An image of animal abuse, which I will not republish here, has shocked many of you. The City's Health Director has spoken to Stray Rescue's Randy Grim and he is going to send her the pictures and other evidence he has gathered in this case. The City will prosecute this abuse to the full extent of the law.
Over the past several months, the St. Louis Health Department and Stray Rescue have worked together to bring charges in four other animal abuse cases. They are working their way through the courts system now.
This is an effective partnership. New regulations now being considered by the Board of Aldermen will make it an even better one.
