A friend of a friend sent along an "idea". He believes that St. Louis should make an offer for LeBron James, even without actually having an NBA team. His theory is that having the King James franchise here would attract an incalculable amount of international attention to St. Louis, add the size of an entire entourage to the City's growing population, and (almost certainly) bring an NBA team to Scottrade Center on buyer's terms.
As tongue-firmly-in-cheek ideas go, it isn't the worst one I have heard. Actually doing it would, of course, annoy Cleveland, Miami, and New York.
