I’ve written a lot about the enthusiastic historic rehabilitation going on in many City neighborhoods. The good thing about enthusiasm is that it is pretty contagious.

Alderman Terry Kennedy reports that interest in the Mount Cabanne/Raymond Historic District is very high right now. Larry White of Stanford Development has been chosen by CDA to rehabilitate 5214-16 Kensington Avenue as two townhomes that will be sold for approximately $180,000 each. Mr. White has already completed the rehab of two single-family homes on the same block. And CDA is getting ready to publish a Request For Proposals for the rehabilitation of 5060 Enright Avenue, a 2,800 sq. ft. 1-1/2 story home located in the same historic district. That property should draw some interesting proposals (perhaps from one of our readers?).
