Kim Slay and I send our warmest holiday wishes to St. Louisans, wherever you are.
In many St. Louis households tomorrow, the turkey will share space with the menorah. That's because for the first time in more than 100 years, Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah fall together. That is a rare and wonderful thing. It won't happen again for 70,000 years, I'm told.
The celebration of both holidays centers on the gathering of loved ones. Both holidays express our gratitude for unexpected interventions and some historic good timing.
Happy Thanksgiving. Chag Sameach.
