The City of St. Louis is a great place to live and work. But, it is also a great place to visit and have fun.
I thought about that after a busy New Year’s weekend. More than 20,000 Christian evangelical college students and missionaries from all over the country spent the weekend Downtown. Between sessions at the convention center, the young people enjoyed Downtown’s great hotels, restaurants, and shops. From all accounts, the event was a success — and that’s a credit to Kitty Ratcliffe, her CVC staff, and Downtown’s merchants.
While Downtown was bustling, the folks at Grand Center put on an incredible party for thousands of New Year’s revelers of all ages. The crowds at First Night were the largest I’ve seen at that event, and the best behaved.
Isn’t it almost time for Mardi Gras?
