A new state law proposed this session in Washington would allow willing bar operators there to allow dogs (accompanied by their owners, of course) into drinking establishments. A local ordinance in Austin, Texas, already lets restaurant owners allow "well-behaved" dogs onto their dining patios, as long as the dogs don*t have to pass through the dining room or kitchen to reach the patio.

Both Missouri law and local health codes currently keep dogs off restaurant patios and out of saloons. Would you like to see that change — perhaps for outdoor dining in the CWE or on Washington Avenue, for bars in the Grove or in the Loop?
