St. Louis developer Balke Brown is set to begin construction on the company’s third office building in Highlands Plaza.

The new building (64,000 sf) will front on Oakland Avenue and will include retail on the first floor. The new building is 70 percent pre-leased to Renaissance Financial, currently based in St. Louis County, and the Korte Company, according to Don Land of Balke Brown.

Half of the second Highlands Plaza office building (81,000 sf), already under construction, will be occupied by Mid-America Transplant Services, with additional space available for lease, according to the St. Louis Business Journal. The MTS building will be ready for occupancy in January, according to Balke Brown’s website.
