St. Louis Department of Human Services director Bill Siedhoff has sent around a note reporting that homeless services programs and agencies in the City of St. Louis have been awarded more than $10 million in federal SHP funding as part of a competitively awarded federal program. The funding, which will be announced formally by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, is made to the local housing programs across the country that best demonstrate consistency with their jurisdiction’s consolidated plan to eliminate homelessness.

Bill called the awards “an early Christmas present” for the City — and he singled out the excellent work of the City’s Homeless Services manager Antoinette Triplett and her staff.
