Blue’s Blues

Some news media are reporting that the St. Louis Blues are back to Square One in their search for a new owner. Some seasons you can’t buy a goal — or sell one.

I have spoken to several groups interested in buying the franchise and taking on the building. While it is too early to know which group is going to be next in line or if the current deal can still be negotiated, it is not too soon to repeat the City’s interest in any sale:

•The Blues stay in St. Louis
•The Kiel Opera House re-opens
•Savvis Center remains an anchor that creates jobs and generates tax revenue for City services
