The 24th annual St. Louis Regional Veterans Day Observance will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 in front of Soldiers' Memorial, 1315 Chestnut. The parade begins at noon at 14th and Olive.

The ceremony will honor active duty personnel and veterans and will recognize POW-MIAs. In addition to Mayor Francis Slay and County Executive Charlie Dooley, the father-son team of Randall and Andrew Ottinger, who served together as pilots in Iraq, will address the crowd.

More than 100 units, representing the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard, will march in the parade, which will go east on Olive at 14th, south on 14th to Chestnut, east to 12th, south to Market and west to 20th. The parade ends at Union Station.

Military equipment and displays will line the area around 13th and Chestnut streets.

Soldiers' Memorial will be open to visitors all day and veterans will be able to use the new wheelchair ramp.
