As much as we adore our cyber-cousins over at the City of St. Louis website, we can’t help but point out that December 21 seems a little early for them to announce the popular City Parks Department program that mulches out-of-service Christmas trees. After all, shouldn’t Claire Rainford be allowed a few days of twinkling fairy light awe and arboreal peace before someone tells her dad that he can drop off stripped trees in three different City parks beginning Boxing Day, rather than wait for the monthly bulk trash pickup?
What next? The annual Halloween candy caution from the Health Department issued on Labor Day?
Ho, ho ho. And you can read the Christmas tree announcement here.
