Via the Partnership for Downtown St. Louis:

Tomorrow, Friday, October 7 at 8 pm, MoDOT will close all lanes of I-70, in both directions, between 10th Street and the Poplar Street Bridge. The interstate will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, October 10. During this closure, the ramps from the Poplar Street Bridge to I-70 and Memorial Drive will be closed.

Drivers should use I-64 and I-170 to detour around the closure, if possible. For local traffic, there is a detour involving several miles of city streets and about a dozen traffic signals.

After this weekend's interstate closure, MoDOT will permanently close the eastbound I-70 ramp to 10th street at 9 a.m. October 10. The ramp will be removed permanently so crews can construct roadway and ramps between I-70 and the new Mississippi River Bridge. The new ramps to the bridge will cross directly over the current location of the 10th Street exit ramps.

Drivers can use the Broadway exit (250A) to get into the city.
