St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay recently joined a group of City and regional leaders, including Aldermanic President Lewis Reed, Fire Chief Dennis Jenkerson, Police Chief Joe Mokwa, and Alderwoman Marlene Davis, as celebrity greeters at some local Hardee's restaurants. The group worked to call attention to a Hardee's promotion that donated the proceeds from the sale of the chain's biscuits to Heat-Up St. Louis.

The promotion raised $75,000, all of which went to Heat-Up.

Heat-Up St. Louis helps qualified households, seniors, and people with disabilities with their delinquent heating bills in more than a dozen Missouri and Illinois counties, and the City of St. Louis. Mayor Slay is the group’s Honorary Chairman.
