The City of St. Louis will open its outdoor swimming pools for the summer on Monday, June 9. The indoor pools are open all year but change to a summer schedule the same day. All the pools are free.

The city’s Recreation Division operates three outdoor and five indoor pools. Outdoor pools are: Chambers Park, Compton at Franklin; Marquette Center, 4025 Minnesota; and Fairground Park, Grand at Natural Bridge.

Indoor pools are: Cherokee Center, 3200 South Jefferson; 12th and Park Center, 1410 South Tucker; Tandy Center, 4206 W. Kennerly; West End Center, 5250 Enright at Union and Wohl Center, 1515 North Kingshighway.

The city’s swimming pools are open daily and provide free swimming lessons. Each pool has a different schedule of opening and closing times as well as special swimming events such as water aerobics, senior citizens swim events, lap swimming and certain times that are open to adults only. (Youngsters ages 4 to 12 can also participate in the City’s day camps, which also open Monday, June 9 in parks and recreation centers throughout the city.
