The City of St. Louis Emergency Operation Center has been demobilized and the City's National Guard liaison has been released as of 5:00 p.m. tonight. City Departments and agencies will remain available and on alert. The City's Emergency Management Agency will continue to monitor the weather and will be prepared to respond to developing issues from the extremely cold temperatures.

"I want to thank the men and women who worked long, hard hours to both keep us safe and to get us moving again," said Mayor Francis Slay. "Just because we're closing the Emergency Operations Center does not mean that we are letting our guard down - it just means that our City departments and agencies are able to resume normal operations."
